About Dockline

Tied to the water.

Dockline is an Ontario apparel brand for the places you would rather be. A lake you know by heart. A channel you could run in the dark. A dock whose boards you know by sound.

Sunset over the water in Ontario cottage country, photographed by Matt

A personal note

A note from Matt

This photograph is from my own slice of cottage country. I grew up on Georgian Bay at our third-generation family cottage, and Muskoka has had my heart since I was a kid. It is where I learned to tie the cleat hitch that became Dockline’s mark. I made the brand for people who chase the same sunsets and want clothing that feels true to the local water, never touristy or loud.

The collection

What we make.

The Standing Line

The Standing Line is the permanent core. A tee, a crew and a cap, each carrying the cleat-hitch mark. We choose pieces we would want to wear for ten summers, not one season.

The Drops

Drops are different. Each is named for a real place on the water and made as a limited seasonal run. New drops join the summer line as the season unfolds. The full collection stays through fall and the holidays, then retires at the following Victoria Day opener. A few pieces may be carried forward before retirement. Once a piece retires, it never returns.

The standard

Quality, plainly.

Garment-dyed cotton tees. Heavyweight fleece crews. Organic cotton-twill caps. Designed in Ontario.

We believe in buying fewer, better things, chosen for how they feel on the tenth wear, not how they photograph on the first.

Where it began

First water.

Dockline began on Georgian Bay. As the brand moves beyond Georgian Bay, each new destination will draw from its own water. If yours is not here yet, it may be next.
